iPhone 5 Takes Purple Photos

Poor Tim Cook so much trouble with the iPhone 5. First, the hideous Apple 3D Maps, the glitches with the i06, the public dissing by Google and now the Purple Photos. Steve Jobs is doing a *facepalm* in iHeaven right now.

When Apple fails now, the first thing they do is blame on the user. I guess the best excuse ever is to blame the stupid consumer for shelling outcash for a rushed dud.

I bought an Phone 4 for $300 had it for 8 months and sold it on Craigslist for the same price so I can upgrade and buy the new one. To switch phone, Apple is a good trade off, the price doesnt drop to shit levels, the phone pays for itself.

On the new iPhone 5 though, my gadget geek friends will buy the latest iPhone regardless if it was made of shit- they'll buy it and even sell their souls because its from Apple and everyone has one. Damn iSheeps!
Me included.

Hold It Away from the Sun
So the overpriced iPhone 5 takes Purple images when out in the sun and we're "holding it wrong?" says Apple.

Yeah, how about that?

The iPad 2 Back Light Bleed Defect

My iPad 2 back bleeds, it breaks my heart. But that won't stop me from buying an iPad 3. Call me a consumer zombie, but I easily fall for gadgets like these. After reading some tweets about the backlit defect, I started going through every pore and pixel of my tablet and bazinga! I got the same thing! Maybe its something as banal like a wart, an ugly imperfection on a perfectly good piece of tech. Notice the misting on the sides, you can see the backlight go through the screen.

As these sought after Apples don't grow on trees and almost cost me my kidneys to get one, I took my iPad 2 back and demanded a replacement. Or else, really, I'm digging up Steve Jobs' bones!

They didn't have any in stock as expected, so I'll weather the wait for about a week. Hopefully, the next one I get won't have any bleed defect. May the odds be in my favor.

Belkin Play N450-DB wireless router

Here's a sleek beauty that would sit right well in the middle of your room. Well its a master mantle piece, but Belkin’s Play N450-DB router is one hell of a router. This Belkin is made right for ADSL and cable broadband in both respects. The cable version  which is the ADSL unit will have you at £20 quid.

Belkin’s Play N450-DB handles 2 simultaneous and independent wifi networks. Using a 2.4GHz frequency that other networks use and features latency speeds up to 150Mbits/sec, while the other uses 5GHz signals for major speeds up to 300Mbits/sec. There is also visitor access on each network, which will allow a computer to access the internet while stopping it from logging into other devices.

Belkin is known for its design and easy-to-set-up functionalities. Even the power and internet connection cables are pre-connected. At the rear there are four wired network ports, though these use the slower 100Mbits/sec speed, not the latest one which is 10 times faster.

Yes, I own a Belkin- how about you?

AVM Fritzbox WLAN 3270

Use the Fritzbox's 802.11n wireless network on either of the two - 2.4GHz or the 5GHz - frequencies. 5GHz has less interference but shorter in range, so you can't use it simultaneously. You can execute a separate visitor wireless network for net-only access.

Consistent but not exceptional in performance in terms of 34Mbits/sec at close range on both frequencies. At long range (25m away) it totalled on 20Mbits/sec on the 2.4GHz frequency, but the 5GHz signal would not reach far enough. But its not disappointing.

The Fritzbox 3270 also has a USB port so you can plugin and share on a network; Print and scan; Use a 3G USB dongle (which you have to buy separately) for alternative net access instead using cable or a DSL connection. Fritzbox 3270 has a control management option on internet access times, you can choose to block websites or individual applications on whatever's moving in your network.

The Fritzbox is a fusion of advanced and novice functionalities. Quite expensive, but if price is not an issue here, then it's worth the money since it's not a fussy and time-consuming to set up.

Canon Pixma MG8250

Among all the things I bought for my home office, this is my favorite buy, the Canon Pixma MG8250 multi-function inkjet printer-scanner. Well, a multi-tasker's gotta do what a  multi-tasker's gotta do. Luckily, Canon has sympathy for its multitasking consumer.

Canon Pixma MG8250 has a print speed of 12.5 pages per minute (ppm) on black and 9.3ppm for color. That's Top notch speeds for printer which means you don't have to spend time hanging out at the watercooler while waiting for that printout. A color printout will approximately take 22 seconds and a 15x10cm photo around 32 seconds. Awesome with vibrant results as well!

Only a small number of printers can live up to the Pixma MG8250 when it comes to print quality. Scanning, both from both fronts of the flatbed and the transparency scanner is crisp, good detail for legal documents and archiving photos. Every pixel counts on this printer!

Nokia's Tapping the Tablet Market

Finland's flagship brand Nokia needs a turnaround after value of Nokia holdings have reach an all time low of 90% in less than 5 years. To gain their rankings back in mobile hardware, Nokia is releasing new smartphone and tablet devices, a keen strategy shift to bring the confidence back in the brand.

As Nokia tries to recover from this dire predicament, its Nokia Lumia 900 has been met favorably by the consuming public. Speculation holds that Nokia will be releasing a tablet this year alongside Microsoft's upbeat Windows 8 OS. A unit fit to rival the tablet forerunners out in the market.
